Event Overview
A two-day leadership retreat for approximately twenty-five senior leaders, held at a country house hotel outside London. The programme combined structured strategy sessions on both days with a curated team dinner on the first evening and a facilitated activity programme designed to build trust and alignment away from the office environment.
The Brief
The client needed a single partner to manage the full retreat — venue sourcing, accommodation, catering, activity coordination, and on-site logistics across both days. The internal team had no capacity to manage the planning alongside their day-to-day responsibilities, and previous offsites had suffered from fragmented supplier management. The programme needed to balance focused working time with genuine team-building, without feeling forced or generic.
Our Approach
Forte Events managed the retreat end-to-end from initial venue shortlist through to post-event wrap. The venue was selected for its suitability for both working sessions and evening dining, with breakout spaces and grounds that supported the activity programme. A master schedule was built covering both days, shared with all suppliers and the client's facilitator in advance. Catering, room configurations, evening dinner, and the activity programme were coordinated by a dedicated Forte team member on-site throughout, ensuring transitions between sessions ran smoothly and the leadership team could focus entirely on the agenda.
Outcome
Both days ran to schedule without disruption. Session transitions were clean, the evening dinner created genuine connection outside the working programme, and the activity element landed well with a senior audience.
